History & Leadership

In October 2009, Dean Dorminey founded D&D Energy Group on prayer and a commitment to serve his customers and employees responsibly and with integrity. Initially, D&D built and operated stores, but the company quickly transitioned into focusing on its Sunoco Branded distributorship. Over the next eight years, the company expanded into eight states with Sunoco and also grew its unbranded footprint. In 2018, Michael Dorminey (Dean's son) became President and took over operation of the company. It has since added ExxonMobil and Valero to its branded distributorship, while also increasing its unbranded wholesale supply. Today, the company continues to grow total gallons annually while also building and developing convenience stores on its own. When you partner with D&D, a close-knit team with deeply rooted Christian values, you partner with a family dedicated to your success and committed to doing what is best for you.
